Sarah Evans Joins Winkler Group As Senior Consultant

Charleston—The Winkler Group has named noted fundraiser Sarah Evans as its newest Senior Consultant.

Ms. Evans is the former Director of Philanthropy and Donor Relations at Ashley Hall.  While at the independent school, Ms. Evans raised the highest number of major gifts in the school’s recent history and played an integral role in its successful capital campaign.

Prior to her tenure at Ashley Hall, Ms. Evans was the Director of Development at Addlestone Academy.  Under her direction, annual giving to the school quadrupled.

“Throughout her career, Sarah has demonstrated the ability to advance the goals of schools and nonprofits through philanthropy,” says Tim Winkler, founder and CEO of the Winkler Group.  “She is an outstanding addition to our team and will provide our signature brand of servant leadership to the clients we are fortunate enough to serve.”

With the addition of Ms. Evans, the Winkler Group continues its fourteenth straight year of growth.  The Winkler Group is now the largest full-service fundraising firm in South Carolina, serving clients from across the country.  The firm was recently named as counsel for SUNY Schenectady County Community College in Schenectady, New York; Drury University in Springfield, Missouri; the Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill in Durham, North Carolina; Currey Ingram Academy in Nashville, Tennessee; and Upstate Forever in Greenville, South Carolina.

Ms. Evans is a graduate of Wofford College, where she was a member of the women’s Division I soccer team.  She is currently on the Wofford Terrier Board and is a member of the Speaker Selection Committee for TEDxCharleston.
